Andrew Brown's thoughts on the process and consequences of yesterday's announcement by the Vatican

Who will leave?The top estimate would be about 2,000 priests
out of 14,000, with as many of their congregations as they can persuade
to come with them. I doubt it will be even half that many; but for
anyone who is going to leave at the prospect of women bishops, the next
six months will be decisive…
