E.S.T. Retrospective

On October 27, 2009 / By maggi dawn / Reply

I’ve just been reading the reviews of Retrospective; I think I have most of these tracks, but I may just get the album anyway (or tell my son to speak to Santa) as they will sound different in a new compilation.

I think my own favourite is still Viaticum – I saw them play at the Barbican four years back, and oh-so-briefly said hello to the band in the midst of the crowds.  SO sad there will be no more.

  1. Anger is a response to something that we perceive as a threat; either to ourselves or to something that we value. We should join God in His anger against injustice as this is a threat to the creation He values but we should be very careful about being angry when we feel threatened. Of late I have found it useful to stop and think about why I feel threatened and this helps me to respond in a more rational way.
I was trying to find a helpful book in which I read about this but I can’t find it at the moment; if it comes to light I will comment again.

  2. Geoff Colmer

I heard them at de Montford Hall, Leicester. I’m a great fan, though not of the final album. I’ve put together the new album from all the others as an iTunes playlist. I felt both clever and a bit of a cheapskate!! Beautiful music and as you say, so sad. Your favourite est song?
