faith and elections

A message to Christian voters from the Archbishop of York, and each of the three party leaders, from Christians in Politics. Quite interesting to see how the party leaders speak when they think they are talking to religious voters. Gordon Brown says don’t leave your faith at the door – the Church and chairities are the conscience of the nation. David Cameron appeals to the memory of William Wilberforce and calls on people of faith to build a parliament that does what we pray for. Nick Clegg doesn’t seem to address faith directly, but calls people to “get stuck in” so everyone benefits.
