How do you read?

On February 26, 2009 / By maggi dawn / Reply

What does your regular reading of blogs, papers, journals, tell you about yourself? One reason for reading journalism is to keep up with events, gather information and find the links. Another, though, is for the joy of reading something that is written well. Most of the blogs I read have some element of information to them (you can't write about nothing, after all) but they are nearly all written by people who have some ability to say something by the way they write, and are not merely repositories of facts or opinion.

Bishop Alan Wilson is on form today with a very amusing post; the content is essentially two links to music software, but it's full of running gags about yesterday's storm in a teacup.

How do you choose what to read?

I was given a wine goblet for being an usher at my sister’s wedding and on the inside of the lid it said:
If on my theme I rightly think
There are four reasons why I drink
Good wine, a friend or if I’m dry
    Or any other reason why.
    Cheers

Due to being away for Christmas we had a bit of an early Christmas yesterday. My father and step-mother gave me some gorgeous jewel coloured champagne flutes and my nephew (at a mere three months) gave me a case of champagne.
    Oh happy day.

  3. Which Champagne did you choose? Was it Bolly? How did it taste?
