jeans, suits and lecturers

On October 6, 2009 / By maggi dawn / Reply

The BBC reports that a protest has broken out after Birmingham Metropolitan College asked its lecturers to dress like bank managers.  Quite apart from this ruining their image, I would imagine one of the best arguments against this is that most college lecturers are paid (even) less than schoolteachers.

It's a good job Cambridge academics don't have a suits-only dress code. There would be hardly anyone left to teach the students.
