podcast

A while back, Howard Dobson interviewed me for a Church House podcast, and I forgot to put the link up here.

Here I am talking to Howard about writing, art, Genesis, and other things, and reading a short piece I wrote about Genesis 22. (My interview starts approx half way through the podcast).

Thanks for this. The thought of “influencing and provoking change” is helpful to me as someone inspired by a lot of EC ideas, but currently sitting in a non-emerging church context….

  2. i concur with mark completely – pete rollins and i were saying just that ‘in the arms of jesus’ at Gb…
i think the emergent church is a sign post pointing on beyond itself…

  3. Thanks for the reminder Maggi. The quote has remained with me too. I’ve added a link to this post in a comment I’ve left on my latest post.

  4. I can’t resist saying that this is one of the reasons behind setting up BEYOND (which seems to be an entirely appropriate name given the discussion going on here!) which Maggie has just blogged about. One of our objectives is to accelerate the rate of change in our area by producing provoking and creative events that are not just for those who are already in the emerging church mindset but can also become a resource for regular churches to help them to move on. The Fingermaze animation came out of one of our events but I have used it as part of a sermon in a regular church setting and people found it to be very powerful. It’s interesting to explore how the emerging church might be acting as a prophetic voice to the traditional church.
