I got there via Becky Garrison, whose article A Mixed Economy of Church in a Post-Christian Marketplace has been reproduced there (she quotes two friends and blog-fathers of mine – Jonny Baker and Andrew Jones) and Charlie Wear has a good article (with an excellent response below by Spencer Burker) that hits all kinds of points that are true but are hard (maybe impossible) to define about new forms of Church (emerging/missional/alternative/urban monastic/call it what you will)
