Vincent Nichols interview

There’s an interview with Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster, in tomorrow’s Tablet, in which he talks to Catherine Pepinster about his first six months at the helm. The main topic of discussion is the Anglicans-to-Rome story, and Nichols suggests that the Archbishop of Canterbury being kept in the dark was entirely the fault of the Anglican bishops who approached Rome, and not of the CDF who, he says, were bound to keep their consultations private.Indeed, it sounds as if he, too, knew about the move only at the eleventh hour.  It makes an interesting read – go check it out.
